Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics is offered through the College of Liberal Arts. Economics is a mathematically rigorous and rewarding major which familiarizes students with the economic aspects of modern society and teaches them how to analyze economic problems and evaluate public policies. The course of study is cumulative as elective courses build on the skills learned in core courses. The flexibility of the major allows students the opportunity to explore other disciplines in the liberal arts. The major provides students with a logical structure and careful reasoning skills that are in high demand by private sector, not-for-profits, and government employers. While many Economics graduates ultimately seek a postgraduate degree in economics, business, finance, or law, most enter the labor market immediately after graduation. Our graduates tend to be very successful and in high demand.
