Practicum in AI for Finance
This applied course tasks students with solving authentic financial problems drawn from industry partners, taking each engagement from problem definition through to validated, decision-ready deliverables. Working hands-on with AI tools throughout, students build the technical fluency and professional judgment to deploy AI responsibly while producing work that meets the standards of the field.

Our program values learning by doing. You will apply financial concepts through practical experiences that connect coursework with professional settings.
Manage an investment portfolio of approximately $400,000 by developing investment theses, evaluating securities, and making allocation decisions.
Evaluate early-stage ventures and make funding recommendations in partnership with the Purdue Research Foundation.
Work in teams on consulting projects that address financial and strategic questions for corporate partners.
Apply financial analysis to business problems through case competitions and industry- sponsored challenges.
