CurriculumMS Business Analytics and Information Management

The Mitch Daniels School of Business prepares students for the current and future landscape of business with the skills to manage and analyze data in order to implement optimal improvements in operations, from processes to policies and technologies. The program also equips you to apply AI to business decisions, exploring value creation and systemwide thinking.

36 Credit Hours

Businesses know that data is one of the most powerful resources for improving process and performance if they have skilled professionals who can draw valuable insights from it. Our Master’s in Business Analytics and Information Management (MSBAIM) program focuses equally on both tools and techniques, putting students to work on real industry projects centered on problems in business analytics derived from leading organizations. Foundational courses elevate your technical and communication skills and select from a variety of electives that allow you to achieve your aspirations.

Your Coursework

MSBAIM students must complete 36 hours of coursework including core analytics and information courses and industry-specific electives for specialization and general business electives to round out your expertise.

What made Dr. Will Wei Sun's Data Mining course different was Dr. Sun himself. He brings an extraordinary depth of industry experience into the classroom, including his time as a research scientist at Yahoo, and he has this natural ability to anchor every concept to something real and consequential. Nothing felt abstract or disconnected. Every algorithm, every technique, every methodological choice had a story behind it rooted in how businesses actually use these tools. For someone like me who learns best when I can see the "so what," that approach was everything.
