Dr. Yang Wang is the Associate Dean for Curriculum at Purdue University’s Daniels School of Business, a position she started assuming in July 2025 after serving as Interim Associate Dean from July 2024 to June 2025. She directs the Daniels Curriculum Committee (DCC), oversees the school-wide teaching plan, leads the school’s AACSB accreditation efforts, manages the Data Analytics team, and chairs the School Ranking Committee. Dr. Wang is a Clinical Associate Professor of Management Information Systems department.
Previously, from 2022 to 2024, she was the Associate Department Head of Management for Teaching and Programs, earning both the Rick Cosier Faculty Service Award and the Teaching Academy Leadership Award for her leadership. Earlier, she co-directed the M.S. Business Analytics & Information Management (BAIM) program and directed the online M.S. Business Analytics program (2018–2022) while chairing the BAIM Advisory Committee. During her tenure, the BAIM program received the 2023 INFORMS UPS George D. Smith Prize for innovative analytics education.
Since joining Purdue in 2017, Dr. Wang has developed and taught a wide range of undergraduate and master’s courses – including Management Information Systems, Database Management, Management of Organizational Data, Python Programming, and Industry Practicums – earning Krannert Outstanding and Distinguished Teacher Awards as well as the Teaching Innovation Award.
Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona in 2017.
