CV

Dr. Kasie Roberson is an author and award-winning Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, where she helps current and future leaders master people-first communication and AI best practices. As Head of Purdue’s Leadership Coaching Institute at the Center for Working Well, she inspires people to lead confidently with empathy, clarity, and authenticity.

Within the Daniels School of Business, Dr. Roberson serves as the Course Director for MGMT 33500 Strategic Business Writing, an undergraduate course she personally developed in 2021 that started as 1 section which has now grown to 30+ sections a year taught across 5 faculty members. In addition to MGMT 33500, Dr. Roberson teaches courses on Executive Presence at the master's and MBA levels, along with a Ph.D. Communication Skills course and an undergraduate course on Communicating Well at Work. Recently Dr. Roberson was recognized with the 2024 Teaching Excellence in Daniels Award for her contributions to excellent teaching at Purdue. She has also been recognized nationally by Poets&Quants who named her to their 2024 list of Top 50 Undergraduate Business School Professors.

Dr. Roberson's undergraduate textbook “Strategic Business Writing: A People-First Approach” was published in May 2024 by Kendall Hunt. In the book readers learn how to build a strong foundation in business writing so they will be better equipped to write well in any business situation they find themselves in. Foundational communication skills covered in this book include: Audience Analysis, Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Building Connection and Trust, and Communication Ethics. This book also covers an array of different types of business writing and best practices for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an effective communication tool. 

Dr. Roberson is regularly invited to speak at events inside and outside of Purdue. Topics she often speaks on include:
