Prof. Lemper is a distinguished legal scholar and educator specializing in business law. Prior to joining the Daniels School, he served on the faculty of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where he held multiple leadership roles. He has published in both legal and business journals and is co-author of the widely used textbook Law for Business. Prof. Lemper brings practical legal experience to his teaching, having practiced law at two large international law firms. He has advised organizations ranging from multinational corporations to student-run start-ups on legal issues. Prof. Lemper has taught courses in undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs in the U.S. and internationally, and has received numerous teaching and service awards. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and dual B.A. degrees from Indiana University, where he was a Wells Scholar and Truman Scholar. Beyond academia, Prof. Lemper is National President of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and has served on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations.
